German Road and Transportation Congress 2014

The first exhibition of WGD joint profiles during the German Road and Transportation Congress 2014 in Stuttgart was a good success.

Highway joint profiles for new construction, proven in practice since 1985, as well as the new rehabilitation profiles for formerly bituminous sealed joints of concrete pavements have been shown by way of specially-crafted models.
The compression of the EPDM-profiles with integrated glass fiber yarn in the various joints chambers could be studied. Some visitors were surprised at how tight the profiles sit in the joint chambers, and that the profiles can only be removed with great power again. Profiles can advantageously be installed in all weather conditions and are highly durable.

Furthermore, a large covering profile F40 for fixed railway bed constructions using prefabricated concrete blocks type PORR for was presented.

Sealing gaskets of ES RUBBER for example for road tunnels, which were developed by WGD, rounded out the examples of the use of WGD joint profiles.
